Yellow Creek to receive $4 million for expansion and growth
For the Daily Corinthian
President Donald Trump recently signed an appropriations bill that provides $4 million to the Yellow Creek State Inland Port Authority in Northeast Mississippi. These funds, secured by Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith and Representative Trent Kelly, will support the further expansion of the Port’s main terminal on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway and a rail connection for manufacturers in its Burnsville intermodal industrial park.
“Yellow Creek Port is growing, but that growth is limited by our current infrastructure,” said Robert Dexter, Executive Director of the Yellow Creek State Inland Port Authority. “Thanks to these vital funds from Senator Hyde-Smith and Representative Kelly, Yellow Creek Port will continue to grow and meet the demands of its customers.”
