Internships Available

Senator Hyde-Smith offers internship opportunities in both her D.C. and state offices. The internship program is designed to create a unique opportunity to participate in the legislative process and public service.

Senator Hyde-Smith is pleased to offer internships in Washington, D.C., in order to give motivated Mississippi college students opportunities to experience and assist in the operation of a U.S. Senate office.
 
An eight-week summer session is offered in Washington, D.C., with applicants over 21 years of age and with Mississippi ties preferred.  Spring and fall semester-long internships are also available.  Intern opportunities in Senator Hyde-Smith's state offices vary depending on location.
 
All intern candidates are required to fill out the intern application provided below.  In addition, all applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, and three letters of recommendation.
 
Applications are being accepted for 2024 spring semester intern positions (Jan. 22 to May 24).  The spring semester deadline is Friday, December 29, 2023.  Applications for 2024 summer intern positions are also being accepted, with a Sunday, December 31, 2023 deadline.
