CINDY HYDE-SMITH TAKES OATH OF OFFICE AS U.S. SENATOR FROM MISSISSIPPI
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) today became the first female to represent Mississippians in the United States Senate.
Hyde-Smith was sworn into office by Vice President Mike Pence, who also officiated at a ceremonial enactment of the process. Hyde-Smith was accompanied by her husband, Michael, and daughter, Anna-Michael.
