Senator Hyde-Smith, a cattle farmer and the former Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce, understands the importance of the state’s $7.5 billion agricultural and forestry industries. These one-time economic assistance payments will help eligible commodity producers in Mississippi mitigate the impacts of increased input costs and falling commodity prices.
