HYDE-SMITH ISSUES 2023 CHRISTMAS MESSAGE ENCOURAGING ‘GRACE & COMPASSION’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) today issued a 2023 Christmas message that encourages Mississippians to celebrate the holiday season by “offering grace and compassion” to neighbors and those in need.
“As Christians, we come together to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. When we strive to see the world through Jesus’ eyes, we look with a lens of grace, compassion, and hope. It is through that lens that we can offer grace and compassion to our neighbors, and share our many blessings with those in need, especially during this holiday season,” Hyde-Smith said.
The Senator also expresses gratitude to members of the Armed Forces, first responders, and healthcare providers.

Merry, merry Christmas and happy holiday season to all Mississippians!
It truly is ‘the most wonderful time of year,’ with opportunities to gather, relax, and count our blessings.
As Christians, we come together to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. When we strive to see the world through Jesus’ eyes, we look with a lens of grace, compassion, and hope. It is through that lens that we can offer grace and compassion to our neighbors, and share our many blessings with those in need, especially during this holiday season.
It’s also important to remember that many of the blessings we enjoy are due to the brave men and women in uniform, many of whom sacrifice their own holidays to keep our nation safe. I continue to pray for them and their families.
I also am thinking of and grateful for our first responders and healthcare workers who never falter in their dedication to our protection and care, no matter what day it is on the calendar.
I hope all Mississippians will enjoy a warm, safe, and blessed Christmas season, surrounded by loved ones and making memories.
