Hyde-Smith co-sponsors border security bill
Mississippi Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith is now co-sponsoring a bill asking the Biden Administration to increase their control and presence at the southern border.
If passed, the Comprehensive Southern Border Strategy Act would give the Department of Homeland Security a year to produce a plan for more security at the border.
It also requires the department to create strategies to combat drug trafficking and human smuggling.
This bill is similar to one introduce in the House and co-sponsored by Mississippi Representative Michael Guest earlier this year.
